and its more of a clasic than that corny garbage down a few spots getting some attention. Rick James was the standard of the funk back in the late 70's and mid 80's, he is the King of Modern day Funk.

Street songs had it all. Reggae, pop,R&B,Funk,,GospelNew Wave,and he wasn't afraid to talk about the Police. he kept it black.

he was a Great Songwriter and all around force. alot of acts bit off of him and a few imitated his career for alot of career.


and RIck James had a 101 great songs.

he did his own Piano and vocals on Johnny Carson back on the real TOnight Show and he tore it up. He did "Happy" his duet with Teena Marie.

He also had a real Must have Book.
