I remember hearing "Kiss" on the radio for the first time. I was blown away. And then Donnie Simpson (as was his custom when a new Prince record came out) played the entire soundtrack on the radio. I was even MORE blown away. All the lush instrumentation, strings, yet funky at the same time.
and then there's "Mountains". Son.
The 12 inch of this ALONE was lightyears ahead of what anyone else was doing in 1986.
