In most genres of music, artists that play more than one role in in creating the music are appreciated and held in higher esteem (like Dylan and The Beatles), and to me, I find myself diggin cats who are producing their own ish, and also coming correct on M-I-C….so let's give it up for the dual threat talents of Hip Hop…off the dome…

RZA-may be slipping in both areas, but no denying what he has done…
Q-Tip-finding out over the past 4-5 years that he did a lot of the early Tribe ish, impressive…
Pete Rock-the production side is no question, but even on the mic, dude was/is entertaining…
Blueprint-people sleep on this brother, a threat on both fronts…
EL-P-no words, just that good...

Large Professor-can't forget this pioneer…
J-Dilla-the production is obvious, did his thing on the mic too…
Havoc-kinda like RZA, slippin, but again, can't front on what he did…
Oddisee-crazy impressed with that cat…
