"Hip hop lyricism from around the world" Mon Jul-14-14 10:15 AM by nocturnal
Peace everybody. I am producer in Mexico and just uploaded an album to SoundCloud where I worked with a different rapper from a different country on each track, with each rapper flowing in their own language. It's a snapshot of different approaches to rhyming from places as diverse as Mauritania, Brasil, Japan, Egypt, Belgium, Turkey, Argentina, the Palestinian Territories, and more. The whole goal with the album is driving home the message that hip-hop is universal, while also showing how rhymes in different languages allow for new approaches to flow and delivery. Here's the album link where you can hear all the tracks if you are interested:
Please feel free to share with anybody that might be interested in the project. Peace and thanks! Track listing below.
