Very entertaining interview delving on everything from his classical beginnings as a child in Wales, him & Lou Reed hatching the Velvets as a street-performing duo (Lou on guitar & Cale on viola), Warhol, Nico, production duty on The Stooges/Patti Smith/Modern Lovers debut albums, losing his way as a solo-artist/angry-drug-addict in the late 70's, Lou's general assholia, viewing the Velvet Underground reunion as an exercise in nostalgia therefore a failure to meet the standards the band had once set, gravitating towards hip-hop (Dre/Snoop/Kokane/Badu being sited by name) in his September years.
