I can't speak on this specific examplebut the jist of the digital files is that they compress the soundand actual clip some of the frequenciesto save file sizethe example in my paper I think was an Elton John recordsome of the sounds in the original releasegot clipped out when it was re-released in digital formatso you actually got a song with some of the pieces missingI would guess, Bad being released in 87', pre-digital dominancemight suffer from the same conversion sacrifice
