and let me start off by giving you advice, pay attention to what older people tell you in life, in all aspects of life because 9 times out of 10, you'll learn that they're right.
>that doesn't even make sense. > >Why would I be ashamed to admit I listened to someone. >
because as you get older and realize how bad it actually is, you will be ashamed that you once had such bad taste.
>I hate people who treat music like it's disposable. >
I hate people that treat my Drake comments as if I was talking about music as a whole. Where did I say music was disposable?
>If an album is good you can pick it up several years later and >still enjoy it. >
BUt see, it's not good. it's not good music by any means. I do understand that you are young and are simple listening to what you are given and therefore think of it as being good...but in the overall spectrum of both hip-hop and other genres, nothing Drake has made is remotely good music. Stevie Wonder is good music. "Don't make me catch a body" is not.
>I will still being playing Drake records 5 years from now. >Have you heard So Far Gone? >
Yea, that album sucked as well.
>No wait wait wait wait. LMAO when did Come Back Season come >out? > >LOL @ you. > >Comeback Season dropped in 2007, 5 years ago, and I'm >listening to it right now. Plus Drake wasn't even at where >he's at now back then, not in the same league. Lyrically he >was flexing more, but it wasn't half as emotive as his output >now. >
Here is where I will clarify. 5 years after Drake is forgotten and not popular, you will not be listening to him. he will be another joke of a mainstream artist, nowhere to be found in the history of hip-hop. LOL @ "flexing lyrically" because Drake has NEVER done that. He is the line in the sand with me. if you think he is at all nice with his lyrics or his fake tough guy delivery & accent then you simple have no say on hip-hop. His punchlines are corny, his "hash tag" lines are some of the worst things to ever come from hip-hop, his beats are bland and lack ALL soul and swing, his hooks are him attempting to sing through autotune even after everyone has recognized that as a joke, his whining makes Eminem look like Mike Tyson...there is just nothing good about anything that guy does.
>But Ok man. >Trust me someday you'll sit around bored, and put in a Drake >record. Then it'll all click, and you'll say damn. >
I was once told that about Bob Dylan and it was the truth. Only differences here are, Bob Dylan is a genius and I was told by a 50 year old music engineer with a degree from Berkeley.
>I have a question though. Do you like DJ Screw/Screw tapes? > >
No, I don't. I don't like dumb shit.
>*You didn't even address my post.
lol @ you thinking I need to address anything you say.
you have no place in hip-hop conversation because you simply don't have a context to.
