Any protest, solutions and what’s going on with the homeless population in you city/state?

I’m in Chicago and the mayor is halfassing solutions. He tried placing them in vacant public school buildings in majority Black neighborhoods, community protested and filed a suit. He’s attempting to use a park field house that’s currently open in another Black neighborhood and they’re protesting too. Most recently the mayor and alder of a Latino neighborhood made a deal behind their communities back and they’re protesting too, however the alderwoman tried to greet the protesters and was chased back into her SUV. Lol. Ain’t nobody going and winter is quickly approaching.
