I was in downtown Chicago last night, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was infested
with young individuals walking and driving down the streets acting uncivilized
and feral. I’m taking about highly affluent areas like Streeterville, RiverNorth,
South Loop,etc.

You got millionaires, possibly billionaires in those areas, so there is a reason why
a lot of them are relocating.

As an African American it was daunting to see, because it was mostly African Americans
carrying on in a rowdy manner.

As a young adult and mature one, my generation used to go to those areas to
experience and enjoy the recreations and amenities of those areas,
and we did it in a friendly, respectful manner.

Yoga pants, Jordans and jeans…that’s all I saw. From one group
of individuals to another. Everyone pretty much looked the same.
And there was nothing but the smell of marijuana smoke in the air.

My generation had a sense of individuality and never wanted
to wear what the next person was wearing, or wear anything even close to it.
We made sure we were well dressed and presentable
