I think what's disingenuous is that there is a wing of progressives who think if you win its because you are compromised, and if you lose its because you are a threat to the power that be. That sentiment eats its own as you can see in the article above and this one below which attacks the Progressive Caucus for not backing Turner for being a Progressive in Name Only.
Like that's how crazy right wingers talk. Openly adopting their "In Name Only" talk.
Some times the person you think is best doesn't hit with enough people to win and you have to move on.
I loved Elizabeth Warren, thought she had the best policies and would govern best. The rest of the Country and Dem party didn't see her that way. Instead of saying the system is rigged (sounds familiar) I as a grown up just had to accept that my preference was palatable to enough people to win and move the F on. Because that's what grown ups do. I learn that lesson in 84 when Jessie Jackson lost.
