"Post a house in a Black neighborhood challenge (Atlanta excluded)"
Here’s what we were looking for when leaving DC. I wanted to work in government (transferability), grocery (recession proof), or healthcare (public good) It also needed to be a four hour plane from DC as my wifes dad is getting up there in years. Same rules loosely apply to that. Housing requirements was a minimum of two full bathrooms, 2-3 bedrooms, built after 1981 (lead paint), centralized air.
After I got my job down here, the plan was to get a house, find the land my great grandparents worked, buy it for our family and then keep moving on. Then Tesla bought up ACREAGE and the price of land there is now forever out of reach.
So I’m still willing to hear/see what’s out there. The first time looking the furthest west we could get was Colorado but I got no job bites. Chicago was on there. But didnt make the final rounds of interviews.
