The congestion and runny nose usually clear up during the exercise and then return less severe afterward. I'll keep the workout lower intensity though because extreme exercise can temporarily impair the immune system

The COVID symptoms sound too severe for the average person to even try to get through though. The body is clearly telling you to slow the hell down at that point ... unless you're a masochist or overly competitive athlete, you'll probably get the message.
