California's beaches have shrunk tremendously. Have you not been watching? You are slowly losing your beaches. But people still want to live in their beach front property. Just saying California is fucked either way. no hate.
Texas, New York, getting hit with serious floods. And New Orleans?
At one point of time, all the continents used to be close together like states. Now look at them, and with glaciers melting at a high rate, the sea level gets higher and higher..
100 years tops.
florida - shrinking. texas - shrinking new york - shrinking
People still think this is a joke, even though there are serious warnings every year.
I'm here in Chicago watching these fools stay in their lakefront properties. Environmentalists told them 30 years ago that the lakefront should be nothing but parkland. They didn't listen. Now our beaches are getting smaller and smaller, and the rise of the water is already destroying patio decks and flooding lake shore drive. Now city government is in rush construction mode to try to build some type of protection, which isn't going to work, because, you know, nature always wins.
Best thing to do is to make the coast all parkland, so that vegetation or greenery can absorb the influx of water.....
