I find people panic buying toilet paper and hand sanitizer to be illogical.

I would be focused on buying face cloths and towels. You can use a face cloth to wipe yourself. Wash the towel out in a vinegar solution or detergent, and reuse it later. That’s how cloth baby diapers were used before disposables were created.

People have hand sanitizer in their home and don’t even know it. Vinegar is antibacterial, kills 99.9 percent of all bacteria , non toxic, biodegradable and edible. Commercial hand sanitizer also kills good bacteria and can be toxic. You can take 1-2 cap fulls of vinegar, add it to a 8-16 oz spray bottle, and fill it up with water, and you have yourself a good hand sanitizer. You can also add a drop of scented oil to it if you don’t like the smell of it, and you can add a drop of liquid soap if you want a lather.


In situations of emergency recycling and reusing should be a priority for the sake of rationing and supply control.
