I can see the problematic side which looks to be playing out here.

But also in a "fantasy" non-corrupt system, I can see why this would be something to do. If we have reason to believe that he is a prime suspect, I would want to present him in the state that he appeared at the time of the incident.

I'm against line ups to begin with. There's like 4 people in that line up that I would easily confused even if I had a ten minute convo with. Again, why I said I hope there is more evidence besides people picking him out.
