"quick career question..."
Thu Dec-07-17 12:25 PM by double negative

my job is on some bullshit

I just opened up my linkedin page to recruiter contacts in anticipation of budgets being approved in Q1

the calls have been coming in, normally from recruiters

however I was hit up by a big name brand company

they straight up asked for resume and portfolio

PROBLEM:

I have the resume on lock, but my portfolio is in the process of being reworked heavily

I want to respond and I'm thinking it could go two ways

way 1: I send over resume and my old portfolio with a message saying "I'm reworking things"

way 2: I send over resume and not portfolio and say "I'm definitely interested but I'm reworking things, I would like to walk you through some of my work to provide context since I am in the process of redoing everthing"

so far my linkedin profile is together AF, i got twitter and instagram all focused on career shit and I have a personal site but I have not gotten around to adding documents/work samples to the site just yet.....

What to do?

edit: I don't have an industry, I have a role, I'm a product designer/UX designer. I've worked in everything from retail to science to law. The company in question is something like Unilever/P&G
