It use to be a given that in every politician biography that at some point in their life they found religion and turn their back on their pre-born again ways.

You don't hear about it so much but I never realized that there is a very practical reason for this. You become "somewhat" bulletproof to your pre getting saved misdeeds.

George W Bush was a partying coke head? Welp, doesn't matter because he is born again now.
