Started dating a girl that doesn't smoke about a year and a half ago and severely cut back on my day-to-day smoking, which eventually just led to more binge smoking on nights out with co-workers to make up for lost time. I was still smoking a pack a day, essentially, but I would have 14 smokes in the pack three days after buying them and then plow through all of them from 11PM to 2AM.


We've been working opposite schedules for about a year and it got to be a little too stressful for her so she recently hit me with the just be friends line about a month ago and I haven't purchased a pack of 72s or roll of tobacco since. I've had some cheat smokes out at night, but other than that no real pull.


Just wanted to say thanks for this thread 'cause it feels nice to scan a thread like this and not really feel and longing for a smoke. I'm sure it'll come back really hard in a few months when I convince myself I've dropped the habit and one or two won't hurt me, but right today I feel pretty nice.


I wish smokes weren't so bad for you.
