It's about a black dude forced (the old exploding device in the body trick) to go undercover hunting freed slaves in the north; he did a great job portraying the south as a shit dystopian forbidden place and most importantly threw in some good critiques at northern liberal racism.
Im in a bookclub with a couple of woke black teachers and I threw it at em to make sure it wasn't time to call the drop ships on me and they thought it was well written too...however...
It's alot easier to cover your ass in a novel since you have access to everyone's thoughts and risky scenes can be literally explained away within the text...not sure if GOT has EVER had that kind of subtlety.
>If the South Wins the Civil War (or doesn't lose), how long >does slavery persist? > >If it persists to the present folks will be mad to suggest >Black People wouldn't otherwise rise up (rightly so). > >If it doesn't persist much longer for other reasons people >will be mad for suggesting the Civil War wasn't necessary >(rightly so). > >I have a hard time given two white guys doing this the wait >and see. > > > >********** >"Everyone has a plan until you punch them in the face. Then >they don't have a plan anymore." (c) Mike Tyson > >"what's a leader if he isn't reluctant"
