in part because they're similar in style... Vitus is called a wheat doppelbock but is basically a double strength hefeweizen, while Don de Dieu calls itself a wheat tripel. Both delicious, classic sweet and spicey character, great with food but strong enough for after dinner sippin'.
Homebrew: Finally Bottled up my 2015 maple beer, strong as hell but also crazy sweet. Never carbed up so it's basically a liqueur at this point. Gonna sit on the bottles until autumn and if there's still no action, will probably dump most of 'em into a keg and force carb it for Christmas season.
Also brewed up a saison, started with a Kolsch kit but I added honey and oats and used a saison yeast. Pretty tasty, done fermenting, jut need to get it bottled up.
next up is a dubbel in which I'll use the mulberries that have been sitting in my freezer since last summer Or maybe I'll wait two more months at which point I'll be able to pick more to use. *shrug*
