Unless you get hip and peace out early. Way too many choke points up there (bridges and tunnels).
Anyway, I have a bag but it's mostly survival comping stuff like knives, space blankets, first aid, fishing line, small tools, a compass, waterproof matches, flashlight (wind-up), etc.
My advice to only put things in your bag that you wont use regularly. You want you bag to be packed and ready to go, without worrying if you replaced the bandages that you used or put that knife back. Oh, and put your stuff in a sturdy backpack with a waterproof cover (or use a trash bag) and a chest or waist strap.
