I haven't posted much over the years and still lurk occasionally, but I wanted to share that last week I announced that I'm running for Atlanta City Council. Social media is up, as is the website, but expect some major changes to the site early next year as the campaign kicks into high gear. I also want to extend a big thanks to everyone here, because it was through all of the debate and discussion and enlightenment over the years that helped shape my worldview.

"It’s time to bring a new community-based agenda to City Hall, one that addresses affordable housing, neighborhood safety, government accountability and transparency, green infrastructure, and good urbanism. For too long, we've heard “no” from too many of our elected officials. No, we won’t reveal the recipients of massive corporate welfare development deals using taxpayer money and taxpayer-owned property. No, we won’t post our spending online. No, we won’t require a Community Benefits Agreement. No, we won’t consult the NPUs before building parking decks or making decisions about Underground Atlanta.
As our next City Council member, Jason will fight to increase the number of affordable housing units in District 4; to make our neighborhoods safe again; to create the open, honest and transparent City Council our families and small businesses so richly deserve.
Over the next eleven months we're going to be working incredibly hard every single day to earn your support, your prayers, and your vote for Atlanta City Council.
Let's do this Atlanta." ------- "A man who is good enough to shed his blood for his country is good enough to be given a square deal afterwards. More than that no man is entitled, and less than that no man shall have." - TR
