But I didn't have ADHD so not sure what difference that makes.
I was on dexedrine for around 4 years. Getting off of it was a piece of cake compared to opiates or alcohol....but that's a pretty high bar. The most intense symptom was the nightmares. I'm talking really, really bad nightmares. Lots of sweating. Only lasted about 5 days though. Then around 2 weeks of general grumpiness, laziness, easily-agitated. Though the nightmares stopped after 5 days....I also noticed trouble sleeping for another 3 weeks or so.
It's crazy how similar dexedrine and adderall and ritulin are to crystal meth. I mean....what would we think if a doctor said 'I think we should try crystal meth on your five-year old'. I think people would be shocked to know exactly how similar they are. There's two things going on with the public's perception of drugs. 1: Street drugs are not nearly as dangerous as people think (if they're clean and you use them safely) and 2: Pharma drugs are much MORE dangerous than people think.
