74. "i ordered a probably high dude out from my apartment" In response to In response to 36 Sun Mar-20-16 01:27 PM by rawsouthpaw
last fall. solved the problem without violence. i've since wondered about becoming a gun owner. that weeknight at like 11pm i turned around from my desk after hearing sounds in the stairs leading up and he was sticking his head in from the opposite doorway of the same room looking right at me. i had left my front door at the bottom of the staircase unlocked. after calmly but forcefully engaging him, telling him i recognized him and telling him he needed to bounce i walked through a different room and picked up a non-lethal weapon which he couldn't see. ended up calling the cops too. i've always felt the same way in the sense that had i gone to violence, or had i had a gun and used it, i could have turned my amazing apartment into a place forever associated with a bloody outcome. he's a former tenant from many years ago who creeps around the complex every few years, and was remembered by others as a physically imposing guy. if and when he comes back i have wondered if i want to have training and a piece, and have researched guns that don't penetrate walls (neighbors) etc.
