"Poll question: The new guy at work invited himself to lunch with me..."

So we got this cat on a freelance-to-hire role this week at the gig and he's gonna be working on some of my projects.

Cool.

So he introduces himself to me and I say, "Nice to meet you. I'm fitna go grab a falafel. Holla." To which he says, "I'd like a falafel tool. Do you mind if I come along and ask you some questions?"

The side of me that likes to use lunch as an excuse to GTFO and space out for a while was like, "Beat it, Junior. I got a table for one." but then I remembered that this corporate game is a team sport sometimes and relented on my misanthropy and invited him along.

Not gonna front...

It was awkward as shit. I don't know this white nigga like that and all of a sudden we're forced into a conversation and shit. I really didn't have shit to say and I wasn't in the mood to talk shop.

He prolly thinks I'm an angry black man. Oh well.
