"every time i crack an egg, i hear my father's voice ..."

he's not dead or no shit, so it's not like i miss him - it's just that he's the one who taught me how to crack an egg.

i hear him say 'make sure there's no shell that falls in'.

real simple instructions, but it never fails. every time i crack an egg, i hear his voice.

...

also, whenever someone asks 'how are you', i always hear my mother behind me, instructing me to 'say, fine, and you?'

no fail. always happens.

i have others, but im curious to know if other people are also walking around with short, audible instructions attached to everyday 'tasks'.

do you?

...

and yes, this is the return of the mundane, navel-gazing, bullshit ass posts - missed you guys - but got so much work done!
