"Best albums of 2015" Tue Dec-29-15 03:19 PM by Hitokiri
It's too bad the 4th quarter of the year wasn't as strong as the first 3 were, but still a very good year for music, imo. I think this is my list. Top 8 are pretty solid, get a little more fluid after that.
1. Kendrick: To Pimp A Butterfly 2. D'Angelo: Black Messiah (released Dec. 15th 2014, so if it counts, it goes here) 3. Haitus Kaiyote: Choose Your Weapon 4. Kamasi Washington: The Epic 5. Tuxedo: Tuxedo 6. Lianne La Havas: Blood 7. Oddisee: The Good Fight 8. Natalia LaFourcade: Hasta La Raiz 9. Joey Bada$$: B4.Da.$$ 10. The Internet: Ego Death
11. Lupe Fiasco: Tetsuo & Youth
Honorable Mentions: Erykah Badu: But You Cain't Use My Phone Snoop Dogg: Bush Andreya Triana: Giants Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment: Surf Vince Staples: Summertime '06 Jay Rock: 90059 Game: Documentary 2/2.5 Dornik: Dornik Goldlink: And After That We Didn't Talk Ibeyi: Ibeyi Greg Grease: Born to Lurk, Forced to Work Earl Sweatshirt: I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside
Biggest disappointments of the year: Alex Cuba: Healer (formerly a favorite artist, last two albums have been shit) Dr. Dre: Compton (not bad, but not great either) Adele: 25 (same as Dre)
Ok, go!
