any more examples of this out there from other musicians that you know of?

Backstory (for those that haven't watched the RBMA interview)...so In The Bottle blew up and Gil & Brian couldn't keep up with demand because they were on a small label that simply couldn't press enough copies...
So this group just says fck it...we gonna record our own version of it and get this money...
