You can certainly make the case that Flash is overrated...His impact was really as a live DJ (u have to judge talent on the level of the times....Flash was HUGE in the late 70s and early '80s on the live show circuit)....That's why his constant shady business practices towards the Furious 6 has been outright disgusting (On all of the Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5's hits from "The Message" to "White Lines" Flash didn't even appear on those actual records....
But Ice-T? Man...u doing too much on that one...lol
Whether or not u thought dude had the rapping ability of bank teller dude has CLASSICS...Certainly more classics than u give him credit for...
I mean even before u get to "Squeeze The Trigger," "Pusher Man," "High Rollers," "Colors," "LGBNAF," ect, "6 In The Morning" is easily the most influential West Coast hip hop song ever recorded...Without that song there would literally be no NWA...And I'm not talking about just influence....The actual rhyme scheme and style from "6" was copied for "Boyz In The Hood..." When you go from there, it's obvious that Ice-T had even more impact skill and talent wise than Flash....
GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....
