no dramatic connotation behind "survived" but the common thought is year one is the most difficult, especially if you didnt live together before hand

I asked what she would rate the past 12 months, we agreed 7/10. I feel like a slate was wiped clean with everything I did wrong and I get a chance to start over now. I think this next year should be easier given what I've learned, the past month or so I've even improved a lot
