Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you have to be on the internet to be on facebook? The same internet that houses google, snopes and a plethora of other useful sites? Why do people just take ridiculous shit at face value.

This morning I saw a post talking about how fast-food workers don't deserve a raise because the already make more than soldiers. The military pay table is a fucking public record. Even without knowing that all military personnel get free food (or tax free food allowance), housing (or tax-free, cost of living-adjusted allowances for housing), health care, 30 vacation days and unlimited sick time, you can look at the table to see that the least anyone can make is $18,561 (although it's almost impossible to make that little). The info is right fucking there, and doesn't actually take any digging.
