for younger women
definitely more effective than pills for preventing unwanted pregnancy
and its a longer term decision (shit up to 10 years if necessary)

that doesnt remove the need for condoms use
but we also know that young people do not consistently use condoms
especially once they are in a long-term relationship
(however long-term is defined nowadays)
we still need more work in understanding how to address this
