shut down a convo bc im not caught up tho. that's on me. i offer to excuse myself and half the time the folks i'm with will just shut down the spoiler talk right at that point. if not, i roll. no hard feelings, lol.
in an environment where there's nowhere to go (small group of people in a car, at a restaurant, etc.) then i think it's good form to honor all spoiler requests, no matter how unreasonable.
