"OKPs on: "Support" and "Tough Love" within relationships"

OKPs, what say ye?

If your partner is struggling to put the required effort into the side hustle and/or around the house, do you take the drill sergeant approach to get them back on track or just offer the shoulder of comfort in the hope they work it out on their own eventually?

Last night I took the drill sergeant approach and it DID NOT WORK.

NOPE.
