I miss the fuck outta Amy Winehouse. I'm very curious to see this documentary. Out July 3rd in the UK, (and who knows when in the US, but never fear --torrents.), it's supposed to use a whole lot of never before seen footage, and interviews with over 100 people who knew the Beehive queen, to piece together a life taken by the 27 club. Mitch Winehouse is pissed, threatening a lawsuit it would seem, because of how he is portrayed by the film -- money hungry and fame chasing. I don't know if that's true or not, I never kept up with or cared about his exploits... but hit dogs yelp, right?
A couple trailers out. Number 2 seems to feature an unheard song... which just makes me miss her more.
I wonder where that song came from and it makes me curious to see if they'll delve into the final years when the reports kept coming out that she was in the Caribbean, recording for the BTB follow up. The releases that have come since her death have all been unfinished demos that have been cleaned up. So it makes me question how factual those recording reports actually were.
