becoming any kind of close to them, if they're opposite sex. If it's somebody at work or Church, we may not mind. But then, friend is just too generic of a word.

One of my close homegirls has a new boyfriend, and I met him a few weeks ago, cool dude. When I was DJ'n at 10:30 PM, I texted her saying "Ayy!!!" but forgot she was out of town where he is, and it was like 1:30 AM...she said he was looking at the text hella sideways when she got it. But I was like "time zone difference, for one. Two, why you let him read what you get? Three...I'm a former gang member in my last life, he don't want it."

But in seriousness, yeah...I would laugh if a girl ever told me to cut off my homegirls.
