There's a few websites and a (local atlanta) newspaper that has a five things friday...None can say that they've been doing it since 2007. NONE.
This started off as 10 Random Things No One Knows About You. Ten was too much and it then became 5 Random Things No One Knows About You and then it gradually became The 5ive™ (or Five Things Friday), which is now still random thoughts and a place to put all your confessions that didn't make it in the Confession Wednesday post.
OKP keeps on making it---the internet keeps on taking it.
------------- eBay
I need to keep my ass off of there. so much. so easy. so affordable (well it is if i bid and win).
But yeah, that eBay phone app is like the little slot machine at the casino. It's addictive as a muhphucka. My coworker has me beat though. He bought a z-71 corvette of ebay where as my biggest purchase has been control arms for my vw passat.
----------------
Friendship.
There's a 85% chance of rain. My homeboy just closed on his new house. Guess who he asked to help him get his sh*t out of storage this weekend?
Son, you paid for a whole month of storage---you're gonna have to wait until there's sun in the sky.
I'm beginning to question my dedication to this friendly union of ours.
-------------- Disconnected.
I keep getting strange calls from 803 and 504 area codes. Could be family. If that's the case they want something. But if they can't leave no msgs or send me a text lettin' me know who it is we'll forever be strangers.
-------------- Moving on
Once when I was a kid, my mom and I moved and didn't take sh*t with us outside of clothes, tv's and electronics. We didn't take out beds or any other furniture. Maybe we took bedding and towels and pots and pans--but pretty much everything else my mom let one of her friends (who had just had a house fire w/no insurance) get everything. At the time, I couldn't understand why my mom did this until recently---moving is a b*tch.
She wasn't trying to be thoughtful and a good friend to her homegirl---my momma just didn't wanna pack and move sh*t.
I'm essentially doing the same thing. I've given just about everything that isn't in my son's room and doesn't have significant sentimental value. I have given away my bed, the washer and dryer, everything in my living room, the work out equipment (that I never used), pots, pans, towels and bedding.
When it comes to vacate the crib on 5/23. All I gotta do is take my son's bed down, paint over the accent wall in the living room and hand over my keys.
