So I saw this story without seeing the actual clip. Apparently, a fat guy was dancin in the club and somebody filmed him and made fun of it. Subsequently, this was labeled fat shaming and celebrities have since taken up this fellow's cause by throwing him some manner of dance party.

However.

Is it your unalienable right to do as you please without fear of criticism or ridicule? I'm pretty sure that idea and the First Amendment are mutually exclusive. He has the right to dance in the club. He has the right to eat anything he wants. But if somebody laughs, that's their right too, because it's in public. I was pretty sure that was how things worked up until now. What did I miss?

Da bayball, babeh. (c) Charlie Kelly.
