Good question. It really depends on the situation and the person, but more often than not I respond with a somewhat thinly-veiled statement showing my current emotion.

Nothing.

I am very transparent in all aspects of my life. If what they perceive is not the reality, then they have preconceived thoughts/images that I can't control, and don't concern myself with. (Unfortunately, this happens way too often)

$1.98 for regular unleaded.

Yes.

Almost exclusively.

Never

My godchildren, a couple of close friends' kids, yes. Otherwise, very rarely. Learned my lesson on that front many moons ago.

Vegetarian, virtually exclusively home cooked.
