Anyone that thinks there is a war on drugs is deluding themselves.
Drugs are an integral part of the American Black economy, and I don't mean Black according to race, I mean Black Market.
The prison industrial complex depends on drugs to keep its doors turning. It's a billion dollar industry, there is no way America is going to decriminalize all drugs as there is simply too much money to be made from its unjust and inhumane "laws". A capitalist society is not interested in holistic reform, nor is it interested in rehabilitating people. It is solely interested in profit.
A country like Norway *actually* rehabilitates its "criminals" by offering counseling, humane conditions, compassion, and actual care. In America, they throw young men into jail and destroy their lives, creating more criminals. It's a sickened system.
