I mean, we live in society where lighter skin has been considered more beautiful for centuries, and we are products of our environment. So I think light skinned women have to be full of shit to say they never felt like they were better or prettier than darker girls. All the Black women on TV as love interests had your skin tone, and you're gonna tell me that didn't affect you AT ALL? The bottom line is this: Most of your issues as a light skinned person are by-products of white supremacy. You're hated because you benefit (or thought to benefit)... but you're still Black, so your benefits weren't really practical unless you were in Hollywood. What James Brown say? All the stars were light skinned, so he decided he was gonna work twice as hard and do whatever it took to be a star. We live in that same country.
