Don't be fooled into thinking that you need a team to promote your music. If it's good, people will resonate with it, and the buzz will be symptomatic of the music itself.

As an artist, do not over promote your music, you are not selling a can of beans, you are providing artistry, not a product.

Unless of-course, all you are concerned about is making bank, in which case, make radio friendly pop music. A recent study has shown that hits are made by frequency of play, and nothing more.
