filming Protect Ya Neck should have been part of it.
there wasn't enough intersecting with other hip-hop heads, RZA and Premier go WAY back, that should have gotten in.
The Wu Mansion was in LA when they did Forever, and they were there when Biggie was killed. There was an authentic way, through Meth, that they could have highlighted each of those killings.
Having the orchestra ---> reunited should have been laid out with detail, to see how RZA chopped it and enhanced it. We missed seeing the group's reaction to the finished beat.
they had some wild ass touring stories. a few should have been highlighted.
Iron-Man needed an allegorical episode or at least complete focus, and Supreme Clientele should have been the last album they focused on.
Although to be honest, they didn't need those allegorical episodes except for maybe Dirty. All the rest should have just focused on their creative process. And Meth should have gotten more shine.
I enjoyed seeing the challenges of going from hood street niggas to recording artists and stars. They didn't give allow those tensions to be fleshed out enough, the tour bus argument on who gets what cut was good, but they too often fell on the artist v. management dichotomy, rather then letting each gain greater understanding from the other's struggles.
I loved this because it was Wu but there was a lot more storytelling that could have been done and in a tighter manner.
