...and then posting it to the world without the person being apologized to seeing it and accepting the apology first *is* the issue here.
Seems like they'd need to make peace first and then go public.
Or Will needs to make a video apologizing to the world, the academy/etc. and not try to drag Chris into the public apology without consent.
And I'll be 30% of the country will never accept any sort of apology.
Heck - going on Oprah used to be the bar - now you can make your own video, take as long as you'd like, edit it however you want and then be shocked that some see it as insincere or completely manufactured.
Will Smith will be fine, but only time will tell if people treat him like Mel Gibson or like Kobe Bryant - and that depends a lot on his actions - not what he says in a strange video apology that he produced and controlled 100%.
(And slapping Chris Rock -- while not great-- isn't the crime of the century still.)
