I don't think it matters that you are "old" in the same way though. I know they FEEL like 5 years older is an eternity still but they still deal with older people differently.
It was stated in the previous drake x LL post that Drake is OLD to these kids. It is more-so that the connotation and divisions between generations looks very different.
Like people in our generation were rarely "fans" of old heads, because 40 looked WAY different. But these Hypebeast kids especially are consuming cultural objects dictated by Old Heads now. Yeezy, Off-White, Just Don, Supreme, Pusha-T etc...
I mean every person under 20 right now in LA is dressed exactly like I was in HS in 1996. Baggy Jean, Af1s or J's, oversized T-shirts.
Billie Eillish is there lord and savior and she is straight outta 95. So we are "old" but our "old shit" is still cool to these kids.
