Case's history plays here. And the pattern of fake contrition / making himself the victim has been going on for something like a decade.
I do think we should discuss the tone here, but separately. Any discussion in that post is guaranteed to go off track, which is the problem we're talking about in the first place.
If someone does want to lead that discussion though, let a mod know. Maybe we can carefully moderate that post to keep it on track.
I like the wild free for all as much as anyone else. But IMO that shouldn't come at the expense of the ability to have serious or productive discussion. We can do both.
