You're not wrong, though this feels kind of emotionally spot-on even if it's kind of nonsense in its literal form.

To contribute (badly), I've always thought whoever wrote "Bette Davis Eyes" never had a solid grip on what made Bette Davis' eyes so appealing. Any easy way to check this is against how she was cast in her prime - the woman sketched out in the song doesn't really show any resemblance to the characters she usually played.
