solids from scratch (seitien, tofu, tempeh, etc.) then you're reliant on big industry to provide the majority of items you need to have a healthy vegan existence. Even if you're just a FOOD vegan....which I am because the earth can't sustain every living animal being alive....but I digress.... you're going to be a part of the machine and at the mercy of some large industry to provide for you.

Hell...soy industry is a MAJOR contributor to pollution and land decimation in addition to chemical & pesticide production and the growth of THAT industry...along with genetic modification....

So from the standpoint of IF veganism becomes MORE mainstream (which it's very much well on its way now) then the industry will simply adapt to meet the demand for vegan food products. In other words...industry & mass consumption and commercialism of any and everything is the issue...not just consumption of animal products.

Basically everything is fcked from an environmental standpoint no matter if you eat meat or not. Veganism is primarily a lifestyle choice that affects the individual health of people moreso than the health of the planet in these modern times...


That's just a broad..VERY broad summary of where I am with it and why I made the statement.
