i'm going to go see it but a wrinkle in time needs to be weird and scary and visceral and hopeful...shit should feel like contraband to 10 year olds...and i'm not sure disney can do conspiratorial/confident weird...at least not specific enough when they're aiming for the tween masses.
(which is interesting given how well black panther did and was received, and the movie generally embraced specificity and singular perspectives)
at a miminum it needs to be as disconcerting as the never-ending story was when i was 6 and barbarella was when i was 12.
