Redemption Rye surprised me a bit. Nice flavor, smooth, and around $25 in my area, depending on the shop. I like it better that Bullet, but maybe not as much as High West Double Rye (which is about $10-$15 more, depending). Hard to go wrong with Jameson or JW Black, which you can find everywhere. Monkey Shoulder is one of the best low key whiskys you can find, and a great gateway to single malt scotch, if you want to take that journey.
I tried Toki before, and didn't care for it. Not sure what I was looking for, but at the time that wasn't it. Harmony did it for me, but that's way more expensive. Nikka was the same way. Don't care much for the Pure Malt, but their Coffey Grain is the business. I'd experiment more with Japanese whisky but it's popularity has brought a price spike that I can't say is worth it for everybody.
